AdHoc Studio, the developer behind the superhero workplace comedy game Dispatch, has responded to Nintendo's statement regarding the censorship in the Switch versions of the game. In a lengthy statement, AdHoc explains that the game didn't meet Nintendo's content guidelines, but they are already working with Nintendo to address at least some of the censored content. The team initially assumed that because games like Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk are on the platform with similar types of uncensored mature content, Dispatch would be allowed to do the same. However, during the porting process, it became clear that was not the case. AdHoc Studio has taken full ownership of the placement of the disclaimer, which was put in the wrong field, and has fixed it in the Americas store pages. They are confident they'll be able to push an update to address at least some of the censored content, but they can't make any specific promises just yet. The team is truly sorry to their fans who were looking forward to playing the uncensored version on Switch and encourages people to voice their agreement or disagreement in the comments.
