One of the standout performances came from reserve guard Jordan Miller, who impressively made his first six shots and ended the game with 21 points. John Collins also had a solid outing, contributing 16 points for the Clippers. This win marked a significant rebound for Los Angeles, coming off a loss to the New York Knicks just two days prior, and it was their eighth victory in the last ten games. Although Leonard was initially listed as questionable due to a sprained right ankle, he found his rhythm in the second half, scoring 19 points after a slow start.
On the other side of the court, rookie guard Egor Demin emerged as a key player for the Nets, finishing with 19 points. The Nets, who had lost a nail-biter in overtime to Orlando earlier in the week due to a buzzer-beater, quickly realized that this game would not be as competitive. Michael Porter Jr. struggled significantly, finishing with just 18 points and failing to make any of his nine attempts from beyond the arc.
The game kicked off with the Clippers scoring the first eight points.
