Air India and several other carriers experienced brief disruptions to their check-in systems due to a third-party outage at multiple airports, causing flight delays on Tuesday evening (December 2, 2025).
The interruptions lasted for roughly 45 minutes before service began to recover, according to one source.
In a post on X at 9:49 p.m., Air India stated that a disruption in a third-party system had impacted check-in processes at various airports, resulting in delays across multiple airlines, including Air India. The airline noted that airport teams were working hard to restore a smooth check-in experience for all travelers and that some flights might still face delays while the system was being progressively restored.
A subsequent update at 10:49 p.m. claimed that the third-party system had been fully restored and that check-in across all airports was operating normally, with all flights proceeding on schedule.
